MEDICAL AND FIRST AID POLICY

It is our responsibility to ensure that the health and wellbeing of our students are taken care of at all times. To achieve this, the school has put in place the following:
The school operates a Sickbay. It’s manned by qualified nurses and other qualified staff. The clinic attends to the medical needs of our students 24/7. It is of the status of a Primary Health Centre.
The clinic is well stocked with necessary drugs and other medications for your children’s daily needs. It also has 2 observation rooms (one each for boys and girls). Referrals, where necessary, are made to Federal Medical Centre which is about 5 minutes’ drive from the school. The school’s busses are always on standby to ensure that this is effectively accomplished. The nurses are always at hand at all times.
A sick child is encouraged to report at the sick bay irrespective of the time of the day. Referrals are made if the issue at hand is above the capacity of the nurses.
The parents or guardian of the child is duly informed in cases of referral.
